Wild Cherry School is a Waldorf/Steiner school K-6 based in Bairnsdale, commercial capital of East Gippsland and gateway to the Gippsland Lakes, Wilderness Coast and High Country. The perfect place for a sea change.

Our purpose is to nurture the whole child through a holistic education that encourages curiosity, creativity, bold questioning, positive social consciousness and a connection to the natural world.

Our teachers instil a love for learning with a play-based early years focus followed by a rich and integrated program that balances academic (the three Rs: reading, writing, arithmetic), artistic, and practical experiences. Music, handcraft, sport and eurythmy complement the academic curriculum. Emphasis is on creating a safe, nurturing, and sensory-rich learning environment.
